We used our comedian skills as the core of our video. We took inspiration from the 2 Johnnies, memes, fortnite, the young offenders and the rest came from our imaginations. The only thing we had planned for our video was that was going to be circled around soccer. We had also decided that we would use the theme song of the peaky blinders and we would wear ridiculous costumes. The rest of the video we made up on the spot.
Our inspiration was ourselves. All our ideas we made up all by ourselves. We each individually decided on our own costumes. I decided on being a typical Irish farmer. Kelly dressed up as superman, Dan dressed up as a player who plays county and Eoghan was, well I do not really know what he was. Our back up actors were dressed as santa, a man working in super valu, and man ready to hit the club, and a young offender. Everyone also had different and unique personalities. I was a farmer, Kelly was half cracked, Dan was cocky because he is county and Eoghan, well, I still do not really know what he was.
I thoroughly enjoyed the production of this film. It is one of the highlights of ty. When the lads put our imaginations together we are dangerous. Sport was a huge theme in our video, people such as Pep Guardiola. We even put in The Manchester City fans. Who cannot seem to fill their own stadium. We even put in trick shots to show how skillful we are.
We used our phones to film to the footage. We tried to get wide camera shots. Michael Houlihan did an excellent job filming. Kieran Martin on the other hand, nah. Parts from the young offenders, game of thrones, the experience of working in super valu, all featured. Donie O Meara and Conor O Riardon were special guests in the video. Voiced by Eoghan Lynch and Daniel Hynes. The inclusion of all these special guest characters came spur of the moment.
Our main motto was to learn to laugh at yourselves. Do not take everything personally. If you say, or do something stupid, just laugh because the less you overreact, the quicker it forgotten about. We find that people these days overreact on daily basis and we wanted to try persuade people that everything is what you make it. And make it funny because everything is better when it is funny.
If I was to change anything in the video, I would try and get more time to video the production. We struggled to get it done in an extremely short space of time. We would have preferred if we could have taken our time going through the process because some parts of the video we feel were rushed and so were not filmed or acted to the best that it could be. Other than that, I am happy with how the planning went, the filming and the editing.
